Transcript

Will  00:00

Nother Realm is a real play Dungeons and Dragons podcast wherein Bruce, Tanner, and Will try to make dumb jokes and a compelling story. Some of the content within will not be for children. But if that doesn't bother you, then here's what happened on the last episode of Nother Realm. He's gonna take off towards like the alleyways try to try to lose whoever this is.

Tanner  00:24

And within this area you've come up on, you can see outward enterprises.

Will  00:30

He knows he wants to meet with Archie and bathe tomorrow. So what what six is gonna do is take his rest here,

Tanner  00:39

the job that they promised you yesterday, they took the car

Bruce  00:43

and means what exactly

Tanner  00:45

that means. You have competition.

Will  00:50

Yes, take me with you, Mr. Cromwell. What are you doing here? I

Tanner  00:55

don't sleep and they have a rite of passage to get through wound hold, which is the quickest way to get over to Leyland ruins. If you would still like to take the contract.

Will  01:08

Or I know a person knows Dr. Anlin Tissot

Tanner  01:12

find her go through the caverns make it to the other side. Go to the splinterlands beat the frickin Blackboard collective to Leyland ruins figured out what the hell's going on and come back as you hear twig snap behind you we have people in our forest don't we boy and the dog next to him

Bruce  01:37

you know different Swing Man You made your old dogs I'm a fucking wolf

Tanner  01:44

our site reaches far and we see that the maker has awakened. The message continues you're still surrounded by this darkness you really don't have any other perception other than sound hearing your ears with your head

Bruce  02:44

so it's real fucking died. So

Will  02:45

basically I am completely full. Now I'm just kidding. Go ahead.

Tanner  02:50

Yeah, I mean yeah, it's just you're just kind of in a you're in a zone and it says zone zone.

Will  02:56

Yeah. Have you ever done one of those? I'm sorry isolation chambers anybody? Have you ever been in an isolation chamber?

Bruce  03:03

I want to go I do too.

Will  03:05

I'd be I'm afraid of how my brain will do

Bruce  03:09

not isolation You mean a sensory deprivation the

Will  03:11

same thing Yeah well that's i I called it isolation chamber cuz I thought that's what's different that's actually a

Bruce  03:17

different isolation chambers where they put people who are like problem Oh yeah, nevermind Yeah,

Tanner  03:22

yeah. Since it should go to an isolation chamber

Will  03:25

since penetration is what I was trying to go for fucking dinner.

Tanner  03:29

Hey so in this in this magical sensory deprivation chamber? Where the only sensory perception you have is hearing you hear? We are watching we see your path it leads from forgotten memories to forgotten memories. seek truth above all else

Will  03:57

should I talk back to these dudes? You can try I don't hear this right now you don't hear this okay cool. Oh, I don't understand your voice resonates out into this black void and

Tanner  04:21

it feels like so long before a response

Will  04:25

comes. We expected this expected my not understanding yes my best robot boys by the way huh brother Ganzel know who are you? You will learn I seek truth above all else.

Tanner  05:06

And then the darkness begins to dissipate. it subsides. Truth and where can I find out?

Will  05:16

Where's who is he?

Tanner  05:17

What is your response? And you want to get in here the life of the forest and the breathing of asleeping Archie nearby, huh? Okay, so I remember I'm sorry the snoring of a sleeping

Will  05:31

Oh, I love it is your nose to when you're doing this is like a big cartoonish bubble.

Bruce  05:37

Absolutely.

Will  05:39

He sleeps hard. Okay, so I've got the five Americans talking to myself at this point making mental notes. I gotta find brother Ganzel and now truth. Maybe they're in the same spot.

Bruce  05:54

It's in your ass.

Will  05:56

I continue my watch. Wow. Oh, good joke. Good joke. That was in there. So everybody knows what happens when Bruce has a microphone.

Tanner  06:03

It's great. All right.

Bruce  06:09

I'm sweating all games I play Thank you very much.

Tanner  06:11

For sure. He's for sure.

Will  06:12

He's sweating this thing? If it

Tanner  06:16

turns out like, how devious would I be if the answer to everything was what the whole time was just in your ass? Oh, good. Look at that. If that was shut up.

Will  06:32

That is that is the entire game. We did it. The whole time that

Tanner  06:40

was inside you your time in your s

Will  06:44

specifically in your butthole Oh my God, what's happening but

Tanner  06:50

they gotta have some sort of exhaust. Why not? Why not the but they're made by people.

Bruce  06:54

That's why you're bad oil. They

Will  06:55

want to make it you've seen as people like as I am real human Jason So. Alright. Yeah. Okay, we're good. I don't know what I do with that information. I think I just continue by watch and ponder where to where truth could possibly be and if it's with rosary cancel,

Tanner  07:10

it's it's cryptic there stuff in that message. Good foreshadowing. But chirping birds rouse the two of you in the early morning. The rest of the night was uneventful, and you were both able to evaluate and digest the experiences of the last two days. If you were to quantify this in some manner, I'd suppose you could say you've reached Level Two Yeah, yeah, was there any fun I did there is that level do

Bruce  07:38

i has a advantage on dexterity saves against scene effects Cinefex scene affects scene if you made me roll the deck safe because rocks are tumbling toward me. Oh, I also have banjo melee attacks during my turn or possibly but attacks versus me haven't managed until the next turn if I choose to reckless

Tanner  08:05

alright let's talk yeah, it's good stuff.

Will  08:08

Okay, and oh, I get big stuff at level two for clear I can now do my channel divinity if you guys did not know I am of the life domain so I get a skill called preserve life which is an action I can heal up to five times my cleric level and can only heal one thing up to half its life points. So in other words, I don't know somebody like what do you

Bruce  08:34

have? I only take half damage so it's great.

Will  08:38

It's gonna be great. And then I can also turn on debt I want I

Bruce  08:42

just want to just state that he becomes a skeleton robot for a little while. Yeah, so

Tanner  08:47

the other way to turn other undeads if if, if at any point listener you think oh hey, they read that wrong or it's not correct like we'll just read the thing and it didn't sound correct we know how to do and if we don't we'll make it work either way.

Will  09:05

Rules is for sure I was gonna show it was released do things by our own book we write maybe it's not true. I love it. 20 now fuck you

Bruce  09:16

we d&d rules. Rules is read and rules is written. Yeah, well, rah rah. We Bruce's

Will  09:23

are we do? Definitely our war gamer of the thing. He knows the rules. You just tell me what I do wrong. I just I just play. I just do stupid stuff.

Bruce  09:32

I shouldn't play I play along Yeah, kinda know when something's probably not quite. Alright. So you

Tanner  09:38

guys sign up. You've gotten gotten cool new skills. You wake up in the morning and you're continuing

Bruce  09:44

like Diddy. And I turned my swag on.

Tanner  09:48

Well, you both kind of went to the same place.

Bruce  09:52

But that's good. I don't know if that's good or bad.

Tanner  09:54

At least for Archie. It fits right like turning his swag on he's got Got a lot of swagger.

Bruce  10:01

I would fight swagger swagger with all swagger swagger, we're gonna ask that. No, I don't I don't think it is swagger is swagger swagger. Terrific.

Tanner  10:11

Swag, swag. Swag. All right swaggy you guys continue on your journey down the road south following these car trails. And at about midday, you see that the trail veers off the road and into the woods

Bruce  10:34

we should follow that yeah, I would think wrong accent

Tanner  10:39

get that in there

Bruce  10:41

I wish to follow that broth Listen,

Will  10:46

I've kind of following your lead here I've I'm looking for brother cancel and I don't think he's here yet so if you think this is the correct way to go I will follow

Bruce  10:59

is definitely the correct way to go.

Will  11:01

Do we see wound? Oh yeah. Why

Bruce  11:03

March?

Tanner  11:05

Do you see what we've been told yet? Or you know, you're still in you're still in broadly forced. Okay, so yeah, you had your about almost a full day's travel from Moon told okay. Yeah. To get there.

Bruce  11:21

I'm glad I got out buddy got me Doctor shows in Yeah, there you go.

Tanner  11:24

Gotta have those. I was gonna say plantar fasciitis but the orthopedics that's what we're going for. Say, I

Bruce  11:30

don't know if I went to what is the first thing you just plantar fasciitis. And what is its

Tanner  11:34

kind of its tendinitis of the foot or ankle or something like, Oh,

Will  11:40

I'm not. I don't know if I say this or not. But I'm going to start now. There's only one way and it's forward.

Tanner  11:50

His first really bad not quotable catchphrase. All right. Yeah. Okay, you guys are going to investigate the trail leading off into the woods. Correct?

Bruce  12:02

You're correct.

Tanner  12:03

I'm about 50 paces off into the brush, where things get a little bit thicker. You find a big old pile of limbs and stuff stacked on top of something.

Bruce  12:24

Oh, boy. Hey, and especially as you know,

Will  12:27

like light limbs as in like body parts or limbs as in tree limbs.

Tanner  12:33

tree limbs. Yeah, leaves brush. I kind of figured

Will  12:39

it was body. That's what I was wondering how freaked out I shouldn't be wasn't looking at this thing.

Tanner  12:44

You know. And back to the future when Marty puts a bunch of branches on top of,

Bruce  12:49

I get what you're I get okay. Yes, I understand. I'm just being difficult. So we'll go ahead and skip

Tanner  12:54

the whole investigative part. Have you guys been like, Oh, should we check this? It's you move the branches. And it's the cart. The cart is under the tree limbs.

Bruce  13:03

And we'll run a rummage through it.

Tanner  13:05

Okay, go ahead and roll investigation for me.

Bruce  13:15

Oh, cool. I got 1516 Minus one.

Tanner  13:18

Nice. You look into the back of the cart. And there is a large blanket that is covering a few tools you see some wrenches and screwdrivers. But you also find a glass jar with metal housing. And inside the glass portion is this frothing cambered gel.

Bruce  13:39

It's just bubbling it's

Tanner  13:41

just roiling inside. Like there's there's a nice layer of foam on the top of it. You can see it actively bubbly.

Bruce  13:47

I'm like I look at it and I go oh, I told you that.

Tanner  13:53

Do I? First campaign?

Will  13:56

Do we know what this is? Gonna everyone?

Tanner  13:59

I you could try and think about it if you'd like but there's probably going to be a roll associated with it.

Will  14:04

Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna think about what that is. I would like to split the roll. What's the goal?

Tanner  14:10

What? What are you assessing? How are you assessing this thing? Oh,

Will  14:14

I just want to look at it. See if I see it. Let's see if I know what it is just from looking at it from the thing.

Tanner  14:19

What I'm trying to get you to to vocalize is what skill you're going to try and use to look at perception. I won't be perception damage.

Bruce  14:29

Will you find it?

Will  14:31

How about my other good skill insight? I want to that's people it's

Tanner  14:36

it's straight up lying to you.

Will  14:38

Okay, I think it's it looks magical. Can I see if it's got any magical properties? How

Tanner  14:42

about that can go ahead. That's 13 plus 250. Nice. Okay. As you look at this thing, you could tell that there are some properties that are potentially match Go with it. With that sort of with a 15 without like, trying to get into it. You can tell that it does have an effect. Were you to drink it, this is a it is meant to be consumed and the magical properties of it would affect the drinker. With that 15 You could tell that there's some potentially positive effects, but there's certain things about it that make you question what the contents could possibly do for you. The lid, I mean, it's screw off. It's easy open, unless you have trouble with pickle jars. Let me let me,

Will  15:43

let me try this and I take the lid off, and I'm gonna just consume a little bit I don't really need to consume, but I figured it'd be safer for me to try to do it, rather than give it to my human friend. Yeah. You know, human Ari,

Bruce  15:59

that seems plausible. Yeah, you're human. Okay. Yeah, that's,

Tanner  16:02

that's fine. I think it's it is there's a thing you do with potentially explosive material. What you get from this, as as you open it, you know, the point, I'm gonna look up for that sound effect if I can't find it in the mouth one's going to have to do as you open it, you get the scent of ocean air. But for some reason, this sort of familiar saltiness, where you to have memories of

Will  16:29

a beach evoke some anger within you. And as you dip,

Tanner  16:38

you're putting your finger in and then putting it in your mouth hole.

Will  16:42

Would be the idea. Yeah.

Tanner  16:44

Okay, do you reach a gloved finger inside of this, dip it down with a little bit on the tip and put it inside your mouth?

Will  16:53

It does taste briny but the thing my honey, my smell receptors, my nasal cavity receptive receptacles are good. are telling me this is it? It smells like ocean. And it tastes kind of like ocean

Tanner  17:20

it tastes also like angry. You get this very short feeling wash over you.

Will  17:30

Have you ever tasted angry?

Bruce  17:33

actually brought you have no idea.

Will  17:37

Kind of makes me want to punch as

Bruce  17:40

my sacred bruv I'm always angry.

Tanner  17:43

Oh, it's a good reference. It does kind of make you want to punch it it builds up this sort of anger inside you that subsides very quickly from the amount that you had. You do feel some positive effect from it. Give me Give me another I just a straight dice roll to see if you can kind of ascertain what this is and you can use three. Okay, you can't really tell what the effects of this are. You can tell that it does something to to your your body you feel in some shape stronger. But then after that feeling subsides. And as you're sort of feeling it you do feel tired. And that soon goes away as well.

Will  18:30

Well, Archie, I don't really know what this is but my tastes receptacles say spicy. makes me angry. I feel pretty good. Maybe we should keep it

Bruce  18:43

it's called steroids. Might

Will  18:47

you say Do you putting the lid back on this thing and keeping it? I think we should. What do you think? I look to Archie as I don't believe it to be dangerous. Ah, maybe because this anger that I felt is real. I guess my eyes would have grown a little bit red when I put that stuff in my mouth as well. So

Bruce  19:13

are you telling me you got a jar of angry juice over there?

Will  19:17

I believe so. But I also believe it has positive properties. Not sure too much what it does. We are going to meet a doctor maybe they can help

Bruce  19:28

seems plausible. Bring it along.

Will  19:30

Okay, I put it in talking about

Tanner  19:31

your being a doctor. God damn it my plot and plans.

Will  19:36

I put it into my chest cavity along with my chest that no apparently painters to

Tanner  19:42

know I'm gonna say you do not store shit in your chest cavity. You

Will  19:47

get a flip out, chest set. You don't get to store anything in your jammies. You have a bar you have a bag, put it in my bag. It goes in my normal ass bag the container you actually fired As normal guy never Yeah, we

Tanner  20:01

never found one. We never gave you one so you find one in the back of this cart. You find a nice leather sack.

Bruce  20:07

Ooh, it makes him like you know those old cartoons where they tie the handkerchief around the stick. He makes fun of that with the canvas. Yeah,

Will  20:14

I opened the bag look it's an endless supply of storage right here. You could call this a bag of holding maybe

Tanner  20:23

yeah it's it's endless in the same Yeah,

Will  20:25

hold stuff. What's wrong?

Tanner  20:26

It's endless in the same way that endless buffets are endless in our lives the way that you can have as much as you want until you're full

Will  20:37

of stick my whole arm and oh, it doesn't all go all the way down. Ah, see unlimited storage.

Tanner  20:47

Yeah, well you don't have you don't have a bagel thing

Will  20:52

I wanted to say was well,

Tanner  20:55

good luck. Go fuck yourself. Yeah, he did try. He gotta try sometimes. All right, attack. No Spyglass. No. You know what? Yeah, sure. If you want one. They're just not very valuable. Okay, Buck buck, buck, you and your knowledge economy. Yep,

Will  21:12

I wrote a jar of magic honey on my items list. Yeah, do

Tanner  21:17

you want the description against the habit? frothing?

Will  21:21

Yeah, no, we don't have that jar of magic honey. I don't remember that from that okay,

Tanner  21:25

cool.

Bruce  21:27

Even the damn liquid

Tanner  21:28

is angry even the liquid is angry you you guys want to look around for anything else you don't you don't really get anything else here there's nothing nearby that indicate anyone is here or near it

Bruce  21:46

I want to look in the drivers area

Will  21:49

Yeah, you can take a look up there there's nothing of any interest nothing else on the cart Yeah, we did the

Tanner  22:01

okay you guys head back towards the road as you're walking back.

Bruce  22:04

You said there weren't any like footprints or anything you didn't look for any Okay then I'm not leaving like that's okay once again all right all right Android Yeah, just go ahead walk away all the search over here Don't Don't worry. I look for fucking backwards. Okay,

Tanner  22:21

go ahead, go ahead and roll the investigation or survival

Bruce  22:27

let me see which one would be better? I gotta choose. Yeah, you gotta choose 14 They'll do it.

Tanner  22:38

As you begin walking back towards the road and trying to circle around the cart to find any footprints you do find some faint boot tracks two different sets one larger one smaller that lead back towards the road as you follow them crunched down in the lake in the center of one of the footprints is a small metal box that has been crushed. You can look down at it and you can see it does have some electrical components inside

Will  23:14

pick it up and I say Hey bro, if you recognize this at all yes, these are essential parts to my functioning this probably useful I assumed that by the way Tanner?

Tanner  23:33

Yeah. You You have you looked at this thing. And it does you know, when I say like electronic components the circuitry is this sort of amalgamation of our Canik parts you can notice some crystals in there some other metallic components, something that does look like some rudimentary wiring, but it doesn't seem to be like something you could slot into anything as a matter of fact as you kind of take a look at this if you'd like you can you can roll investigation to learn more about

Will  24:07

or let me see if I know what it is. That is a the seven

Tanner  24:16

I'll let you do are all that you I mean our current is not going to make that any better night does have our canon

Will  24:21

conservative nine which one are what do I can look at this thing and you can see that there's like this dial on the front. It might be a remote I put it into the bag. Let's I think that all of these things that we find should be kept for now. Till we understand a little bit more.

Bruce  24:43

Is there a button on it? Just a dial I turn it off turn

Will  24:47

the dial Yeah, let's turn the dial so what happens?

Tanner  24:49

It doesn't do anything you can see like maybe a little sparking of the crystals inside but it doesn't do anything.

Bruce  24:56

Seems like trash to me. Bruv huh?

Will  25:00

This could be important. Maybe we need to find a way to power it. A child of height Well, I tried to give it power from me. Hocus Pocus power.

Bruce  25:11

It's got a virus on it and you die.

Tanner  25:13

Yeah, I'm sorry man. Did you install Avast.

Will  25:16

A drink all the Honey,

Bruce  25:17

do not pick up on identified USB sticks and put them into your laptop yours just so you know. Yeah. Yeah.

Will  25:24

Also,

Tanner  25:25

if you're if you're Warforged don't like we've we've stated that the twist is in his butt. But don't don't stick USB drives up your butt either.

Will  25:34

Don't do it.

Tanner  25:35

Don't do it. Just put it in your bag. Well, I

Bruce  25:37

mean, if that's what you're into, yeah, I

Tanner  25:39

suppose it but then you probably have to go to a doctor, hey, you find this thing and you put it in your bag, after you've figured out that it is not currently operational, then you head back, following the footsteps back towards the road. They do lead and a southerly direction along this road. So you follow them for ways until they start to kind of disappear. The ground here is a little bit harder. So it's they don't make as much of an imprint. But they do appear to be going following this road, the road that you are on towards wound

Bruce  26:09

so they're fainter, but still going the same direction as painters go in the

Tanner  26:13

same direction and eventually they become unsolvable. But you never saw any deviation or anything.

Bruce  26:18

Okay, so assume it's this road, basically, is what you're trying to tell me. That's all I'm trying to tell you. Gotcha. Okay, cool.

Will  26:24

Yep. All right. All right. You guys.

Tanner  26:30

I can read this as written. That's fine. You both continue following the road south and eventually make it out of broadleaf forest and into the farmlands. As the late afternoon sun sinks down in the sky to the west you can see the castle of wound hold in the distance. It's fortified walls stand tall, protecting the lands of Victoria from the unknown danger of the Eastern subcontinent. You know a few things about wound hold. First, it is the seat of the Marquess of wound March, the nobleman who oversees I just lost my place. I was weird. The novamente also said Mark was which is the English pronunciation pronunciation. I researched this hard because I knew someone was gonna fucking call me on some sort of French bullshit.

Bruce  27:13

But the word is the French of an origination.

Tanner  27:16

So it is but but in in England, when they used it to describe leaders of the March it is Marquess. And since this is English,

Will  27:29

what was it Marquess of what? I'll reread it.

Bruce  27:33

Get wrecked French people get

Tanner  27:34

wrecked. First of all 20 Oh, look at this bigot

Will  27:39

Call Saul.

Tanner  27:41

First, it is the seat of the Marquess have wound March, the nobleman who oversees the majority of the Victorian lands along the wound. Second wound hold is known for the vigilance of its guards and the severity of the punishments they administer. Third, the gate is currently closed to those who do not have a rite of passage or an adventuring contract with the crown. As you approach the castle town is there anything that you guys want to like try and see from a distance while you're out

Will  28:09

here? Are you just gonna continue on? How many guards are there? Oh, there's there's a

Tanner  28:14

fair number like this is a tearaway rally staff. Now this is like only Heycome This is the only gate into into the in the space of a moradores What are you telling me? Kind of Yeah, yeah, it's the gate to the east. I mean, okay. Beth did mention that there is a way you know, below it, which is why he sent you to sod.

Will  28:36

Right? That's yeah. Thank you. You're welcome.

Tanner  28:39

As you approach the castle town, you see a gnome with shoulder length black hair, disassembling some equipment and stuffing it into packs as a Drow. And chainmail sharpens her long sword nearby.

Will  28:50

And here's the voice. Dr.

Tanner  28:53

ambling. Where is it is it's up here. We're up here.

Will  28:56

This is fine.

Tanner  28:57

And it's going to sink into it because Okay, we're good. It's not too difficult to carry on. The Gnome says I do this every time Abara Why can't those egg heads at the Academy come up with something less Miss placeable than glasses. But Erlang glasses look so hot on you? lecherous assholes. Good returner. Thanks Tanner's.

Will  29:26

though. That's a very funny Oh, okay. So this is presumably alien to

Tanner  29:32

SAT. Yeah. And if you if you own I'll leave that for a second. So yeah, you see this scene? What dost thou do with? Okay,

Will  29:43

so at this point, I'll turn to Archie. Archie, I believe that is Anlin. The person that we are looking for the doctor. How about you got to figure out what

Bruce  29:59

We need to figure out and I'll be over here making sure nobody sneaks up on you.

Will  30:04

I'm glad to know that you trust me with with interacting with other human beings. I'll be back.

Bruce  30:10

This is going to be righteous.

Will  30:14

So he's just down for the chaos. I love it. All right. Dr. Anlin facade,

Tanner  30:20

as you walk up to this woman, the Drow in chainmail, stopped sharpening her sword and pointed at you doesn't say a word and decipher it around to look at you.

Bruce  30:32

If I understand it's a bit rude pointing swords at people.

Tanner  30:36

The drought shrugs

Will  30:37

It's okay. It's okay Mr. Cromwell. If I understand correctly, you are Ibarra.

Tanner  30:45

The drought just glares at you and the gnome walks out a lot. My

Bruce  30:50

battleaxe and I go mine's bigger love.

Tanner  30:55

Cheese doesn't acknowledge it. And she she slowly points or long over at you.

Bruce  31:00

I'm just pointing my battleaxe at her. I was lucky. Man. He's just being an asshole at this point.

Tanner  31:08

The woman who has a presumably am Anlin walks up all right, all right. Calm down. We we don't need to attract any more guard attention. They're a bit on the warpath right now. And I don't need anything interrupting my plans. So if you too could please.

Will  31:29

i Yes. I am. Dr. Anlin Tucson.

Bruce  31:35

Oh boy Come on. I was just make an addict joke. It'd be right I put my bad ice pack up the drought. Oh,

Will  31:42

no, it's it's fine. I I have no fear here. We were. We were saved by bait to find you in specific we're looking for passage underneath wound hold I say this kind of loud.

Tanner  31:56

It doesn't you saying that out loud. Doesn't seem to bother her so much. She she looks up at the drought. And the draft looks down at her and and nods. I think we're fine. Abara and she'll turn back over to the two of you. It's a pleasure to meet any friend of base. I am Dr. Anlin. Tucson and she offers her hand. As you two are looking at her You can also tell her that her glasses are on top of her head. Okay,

Will  32:28

I guess you could call me normal human Jason and I shake her head. Because I learned how to do that. He taught me how to shake hands.

Bruce  32:36

Archie's just standing behind six just shaking his head just

Tanner  32:42

she'll she'll take your hand and it's nice to meet you normal human Jason. And you sir.

Bruce  32:52

My name is Archibald Theodore Cromwell but my friends call me Archie.

Tanner  32:57

It is nice to meet you Archibald Theodore Cromwell. Perfect.

Bruce  33:03

Also, by the way, your glasses are on top your head. When she reaches

Tanner  33:06

up on top of her head, tuck in a and puts them on her face. Barbara, she's her sword and goes back to just standing with her arms crossed looking at the two of you.

Bruce  33:22

I mimic her exact posture.

Will  33:26

Go ahead. Are you

Tanner  33:29

is this a performance? Are you trying to any sort of intimidation? Are you just just doing it?

Bruce  33:34

No, I'm just I'm just doing okay. All right, she she's having a giggle I'm having a giggle might she

Tanner  33:40

squints it you know sign of approval or disdain in her interface. I got word yesterday. Yesterday. Yes, yesterday, yesterday that you too might be coming. Bathe sent crow. And I am so ready for some help getting through the caverns beneath the wound. It has been a mess just trying to get people to come down there with me. We had a whole expedition. And then they figure all this is it worth it because it's just a series of frickin tubes. But it's not. It's a cavernous system. There's, there's plenty of things along the walls, there's evidence of an unknown religion. It's I'm sorry, I get a little excited about all this kind of stuff. But it's huge. It's huge. And if we could just have more hands to get a little bit deeper in I, I've already found the way on the other I know she kind of lowers your voice for a second. I know you too, are looking for a way to get onto the other side because you don't have a rite of passage. And I've already found that. So if you can get me through to the other tunnel that's right along the way that you need to go. Then I will point you in the right direction so that you can get through.

Will  34:58

Well that's That's great news. You just need more hands because I have to hear that's

Tanner  35:05

you know what? Wild coinkidink at the exact number that I need you to have. He has to his

Will  35:11

to report to Artie. For more hands

Tanner  35:15

Praise be to the gods.

Bruce  35:19

So, my friends who is a bit literal.

Tanner  35:24

I like literal. I also like figured if I like it, I like it or anything. Anything is helpful.

Will  35:32

Do you need fi taught? Yeah, sure.

Bruce  35:34

We'll help you. So it's just a cabin just got walk you through the right way

Tanner  35:36

with a pass pass. Second. Did you say do I need feet?

Will  35:39

Yes. I have two of those. Awesome. And I'm so stoked. How about a head? Okay, I can keep going. Just named different body parts.

Tanner  35:51

I mean, you just you can bury. You can list them all out. I need the whole thing.

Will  35:57

You got a torso? Yeah, no,

Bruce  36:01

I'm actually fresh. I

Will  36:03

don't have a penis though.

Tanner  36:05

All right. So yes, we do need help. It's not that it's dangerous. We just have a few extra things to carry. And the way down is a little treacherous. So we'd rather not make multiple trips for it. Well, that's fair. All right. Excellent. Well, then, we better start this now. Jess, we must be off for the sunsets because otherwise it's really hard to scale. A sheer cliff side in the dark.

Will  36:39

No,

Bruce  36:40

Michelle. Oh,

Will  36:41

we're going to be climbing. Yes, you've got

Bruce  36:45

to sleep climbers.

Will  36:47

Sleep climbers.

Bruce  36:51

Don't know how to sleep climbing. Nope. Can you? condition I don't appreciate you making fun of it. Oh, yeah, you're sleeping you climb. It's pretty simple. It's a totally shit that scientific as fuck. Scientists document this and send it back to the university. Hey, so perfect. Yeah,

Tanner  37:14

we've got a few things. Everything's packed up. I've got my glasses now. That's awesome. And you're welcome, by the way. Thank you. And we can we can go ahead and head down. She goes over and she collects a couple of sacks. And she hands one to each of you. They're not very heavy. But you can feel that they've got like metallic equipment and stuff inside.

Bruce  37:35

Okay, someone wears Yeah,

Tanner  37:38

it's got straps.

Bruce  37:42

strapping on cool.

Tanner  37:44

So as you guys are all packed up with some equipment. And Lynn and Barbara also put some packs on. And you all start heading south. You follow and linen a bar along the wounds until you come to an area with a few empty crates slow

Bruce  38:00

Whoa. Before we go through with this, is it dirty down there?

Tanner  38:07

Well, I mean, it's, it's laying down a cliff side, which is mostly rock and rock makes dirt and then it's going into a cave. That's a little bit of a tight squeeze at the beginning, but then it opens up but like caves are pretty dirty too. Yeah. All right.

Bruce  38:27

One minute. He takes his coat off folded up very neatly and puts it in his backpack. Nice his overcoat. Okay, all right. Now we can get still Looking

Tanner  38:34

dapper. Just finger guns. Just finger gunning.

Will  38:37

What does he have on underneath? Is it just like a plain white T? No.

Tanner  38:43

He's got a what is it a magenta vest or something? Yeah,

Bruce  38:47

I think it's a black what is a black shirt with a magenta waistcoat? No a crimson Wait.

Will  38:52

Are you wearing a cover band? Come on random cummerbund comm.

Bruce  38:58

He's wearing like a like a simple, simple, black noble shirt. Yeah. So I say noble shirt because that is a button up shirt from Yeah. Does it have sleeves? No. Okay.

Will  39:12

It's not Prince. Oh, yeah. No,

Bruce  39:16

he can't. He can't fight with poofy sleeves. Can't do that. All right.

Tanner  39:21

You follow Anlin and a bar south along the wound until you come to an area with a few empty crates and a canvas tent. Nearby you see two large coils of rope tied to metal hooks stuck into the ground. And if you look around, it looks like there was probably a larger campsite here before as you will enter this area. And Lynn shouts out. We've made it and now we descend and heads over

Will  39:49

to the ropes with me first. Does volunteering

Bruce  39:55

oh yeah, this seems like a great idea. Right?

Will  39:58

I'm very heavy though. Do you think these ropes will be enough? Oh, for sure. Yeah,

Tanner  40:04

these are exquisite ropes. No, but they're really good ropes.

Will  40:10

You'll be fine. Good. All right, investigate. Make sure I'm not gonna fall. Okay. I wasted a good roll on the 16th. They the ropes gonna hold me.

Tanner  40:22

They're sturdy. They'll seem like the whole Good. Do

Will  40:23

a little picture. Yep. All right, so cool.

Tanner  40:27

They get everything set up. They toss the ropes down over the side of the cliff. If you take a look down, it is pretty sheer here. But you can see that the ropes cascade down near another kind of outcropping. Down below you. It's probably a good 100 feet down.

Bruce  40:48

Oh, well, that's a bit Lacell. If you were to slip

Will  40:53

up, I would say sometimes six, best not to slip. Best not to slip.

Tanner  40:59

As everyone gets tied up and ready to go, you get all the equipment on your back and everyone is going down. What's the order that you want to go in? I guess that six is versus the six now they don't really harness it. They've got kind of a harness setup going on. But it's very rudimentary.

Bruce  41:17

It's more like a Swiss seat. It's like someone types. It is a lot like a Swiss seat. Yes. Gotcha. Okay, that way a Swiss seat for anybody who doesn't know that is basically a harness made out of a room

Will  41:27

six is super excited about the prospect of trying something new so he wants to go first. Okay.

Tanner  41:35

All right. So you get on one rope is Archie going to wait to the end just want to get kind of a picture of how you guys are climbing down for when I fuck you over.

Bruce  41:45

I look at the to the doctor and her buddy assumed bodyguard knows it loves up cover up the rear.

Tanner  41:52

They nod Ibarra gets ready in ties herself in on the other one. So the first two descending are going to be a borrower. And six, everyone's not going down at the exact same time because that would be dumb as hell. So we're gonna wait till they get pretty much all the way down. And then we're gonna descend ourselves. So you're on this six and you're making your way down. I need you to give me an athletics check. Please, sir.

Will  42:18

How is my athletic Oh, so that is a 10 total. Okay. All right. Let's do

Tanner  42:28

to continue to descend. And thanks to this Swiss harness. You are able to stay pretty steady. Your hands do slip once but you're able to grasp on rather quickly and you make your way down to the bottom to the new outcropping. And in front of you can see a cave opening a bar also makes it down without problem will actually let's see. Let's see let me do some rules for a bar. Oh yeah, sure. She fucking tanks it

Bruce  42:59

gets a one and just

Tanner  43:02

There's a bar off. Nope, she makes it down just fine. And then fucking hilarious.

Will  43:07

It would have been funny. I mean, she hasn't said a word yet. She's

Tanner  43:10

cool. Last character. It's great. Now we have Hanlon and Archie you to saddle into the saddles and make your way down go ahead and give me that athletic stick.

Bruce  43:25

Alright, then it's time to make a fool

Will  43:26

of myself. Go for it. No way there's a barbarian have bad athletics. Drifting Oh, he's a Dex barbarian right now or just Trumpster Oh, nice. Okay, good. Okay.

Tanner  43:38

Yeah, you make your way down pretty easy.

Bruce  43:42

I'm a wisdom Barbie wizard.

Will  43:44

But as you get just as a DM as a DM, what were you going to do if we just both rolled net ones here? hurt you?

Bruce  43:54

Oh, sweatshirts are designed to be easily stoppable. So

Tanner  43:57

yeah, it would have been it would have if those didn't come around, it would have been a little bit more proximate problematic, but it makes sense for

Will  44:03

for you guys to have Okay. All right. As you guys are going down, you hear a bit of a slip

Tanner  44:12

and then and you can see the Swiss seat on Dr. And lintas. I don't need to say her full name that was kind of weird. It comes loose and she got her hands slip and she begins sliding down rapidly.

Will  44:28

I shoot out my rocket hands are good. Hold on, like Blitzcrank from League of Legends. Yeah. Can I

Bruce  44:40

do a deck saved to leap off the cliff and let my rope out like you would if you were repelling yes,

Tanner  44:47

you're gonna repel out here and try and use the slack behind you to to catch her let her grab on to that.

Bruce  44:55

Or I'm literally I was just going to leap off and try to stop myself underneath her where I could just hold person's got it. Got

Tanner  45:00

it. Yeah, go ahead and roll. That's gonna be I think acro backs, acrobatics or athletics you so you'll probably choose athletic Yeah,

Bruce  45:07

it's skill base. That's yeah, it makes sense. Yeah. I don't know why sit next Saturday that would have been if I was the one falling 18.

Tanner  45:17

So you push off, you grab your right hand down on the lower rope your left hand on the upper rope and you push back with your legs, and loop back around bringing your right hands to press Anlin against the wall and scoop her up. Luckily, she's pretty lightweight. So you're able to hold on to her while you pull on your rope and prevent the two of you from falling faster and sliding down

Bruce  45:39

it carefully. This is a long drop here.

Tanner  45:44

If I were in the heroic type this would be something but thank you for saving my life. This is this. This is the beginning of how terrifying it is what

Bruce  45:57

a bit terrifying to be fair,

Tanner  45:59

I am so scared right now. But it's it's just can you get us down? Yeah, should be able to alright, you make your way down to the bottom and you can feel her trembling on the way. But you set her down at the bottom and now you're all in front of this cavern. And Lynn dust yourself off and kind of shakes herself, shakes her head and tries to study her breathing. And she wasn't

Will  46:28

great save or she wouldn't you say so a barra. She She nods? No expression she just is expressing points at

Bruce  46:41

her and goes ah, I got you to do something besides stare at me.

Tanner  46:48

She shrugs and walks into the cave. And he's just so quiet. And Lynn says Welcome to the caverns of up. Bruce  48:43

All right, well, let's go see what's in these garantee

Tanner  48:45

All right, yeah, as you guys look out from this ledge, you can get a good view of the wound the rushing water below you. And the walls are just scattered with these layers of white rocks with purple veins going through them. It is a gorgeous sight especially in this sunset. You can see the light cascading on the other side of the wall from you. And Barbara who is now farther off into the entrance lights a torch and leads away into the passage and before anyone calls me on it and goes oh by Drow have dark vision. I know but gnomes don't do gnomes other

Bruce  49:25

humans are robots to be fair.

Will  49:28

I don't know do gnomes have dark vision? Would it be funny?

Tanner  49:31

I don't think so.

Bruce  49:32

I think if certain classes can but I don't think they do as a racial trait.

Will  49:38

Dark Vision they do they do have dark vision iron or whatever.

Bruce  49:43

Gnomes have dark vision.

Tanner  49:44

Yeah. Bye.

Bruce  49:45

Thank you. Bye. I appreciate you liking that torch for me. Yeah, she did for you

Will  49:48

guys. I also don't have the result according to them every

Bruce  49:50

day. I'm I'll save you. Thanks. But

Tanner  49:53

all right. The walls here are etched with depictions of people receiving gifts and However, the odd thing that you find in most of these is that the gift giver in every piece in every piece is scratched out in some way.

Will  50:09

Very cool now. All right. So pairs like gifts, receiving gifts, receiving gifts. Okay, sorry,

Bruce  50:18

the receiver has crashed out of the gift or scratch the gift or scratch down.

Will  50:22

Mm hmm. All right, then, well,

Bruce  50:24

I won't be given you the last as anything while we're down here. I don't want to get scratched out of a rock.

Will  50:31

I see nothing of significance.

Tanner  50:35

I think I think all of this is of significance. There's a story here that is a puzzle to solve and a history that we know nothing about. I mean, how often does that come along? And lands were were able to explore? I mean, think about it. If if something like this was discovered in EMA vests, the elves wouldn't let us touch it. But since it's here, I mean, it's amazing. It's something new and unexplored and I am so excited. Really?

Will  51:05

I would. I would argue that this is not very new.

Tanner  51:10

You know what? You're right. It is new to me.

Bruce  51:13

Once again, very literally did me no offense. No, I'm

Tanner  51:16

not. I'm not offended. Everything is a search. You still have your mask on right? Oh, yeah. Okay. Everything is a search doubles

Will  51:24

his actual name or anything to this person yet

Tanner  51:28

and she hasn't asked. Yeah, she continues.

Bruce  51:34

The Marquesas shook your metal hand.

Tanner  51:36

Yeah, well, it's gloved glove. That's big old. You've got big blacksmith gloves on. He's dressed weird.

Bruce  51:42

All right. Yeah, that's yeah, apron. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.

Tanner  51:46

At the Microsoft wound March, contacted the College of this a lot of words for me to say, the Marquess of wound March contacted the college Valley recently, after a trimmer along the wound uncovered this cavern entrance. We were a group of 12 at the start of the expedition four weeks ago. Now it's just the two of us. Well, I guess four of us. But so once again, thank you, you've doubled our numbers after they've been

Will  52:11

six.

Bruce  52:14

If you don't mind me asking here. Why'd Why did they all say no, again.

Tanner  52:23

They thought the stuff here was meaningless. I mean, we found the, you know, exit on the other side. And they were like, Well, look, we've documented the wall scribblings and there's a few other passageways, but we don't want to put any more money. It's all about money. Right? Like, so if if it doesn't seem worth it, then they're not going to pay for it. And I am currently not getting paid for this.

Bruce  52:50

The world does count on it. Good on you for following your sense of adventure.

Will  52:56

You hear up ahead, borrow sighs

Bruce  53:04

apparently your friend doesn't like your sense of adventure.

Tanner  53:09

Yes, but she is my friend. And she will see it out with me which I am super appreciative of.

Will  53:17

Well, that's a good friend. I Oh, I think actually. Maybe you can help us. I found these and I pull up the jar of honey and the little device and ask her you know, basically what is it? What what do you think these are? She'll take a look at the jar. John,

Tanner  53:38

you know, look over to a bar at that keeping the torch over here. And she comes over and you know, holds a light over it. She looks at the jar first. Hmm. Can i Is it is it dangerous to it? Can I Can I open

Will  53:53

it tastes like Angry. Angry ocean ocean.

Tanner  54:00

Okay, she relisted off and and takes a sniff and puts the cat back on? Oh, that is that kind of smells like spring fire.

Will  54:10

What is what is spring fire.

Tanner  54:15

Spring fire is one of the main exports of Exarch which is just to the south of Vitoria it is a really impressive mix of stuff. But most of the most of its naturally occurring. This however has some sort of tank to it is the best way that I can think of describing it. The cool thing about spring fire is that it will be it'll it'll help out in certain situations with feats of physical strength by this, I'm not sure and I don't know if you really want to drink it because that frothing is

Will  54:53

volatile.

Bruce  54:56

So you're telling me it's a P date?

Tanner  55:00

Um, yeah, but I don't know if you could actually test for it in competitions of strength. So like, if you're thinking of it that way, then. But it would still be an illegal substance in most official rankings.

Bruce  55:11

Good to know. Thanks for the clarification. No problem.

Will  55:14

I took a small sample of it with my mouth. It made me a little angry. My eyes turned around. I mean, it made me angry. Yeah, I wouldn't suggest. I mean,

Tanner  55:28

scientifically, if you do ever taste this, or like consumed the whole thing, please document it. And let me know. Like what happens? Because I mean, do you want to keep like, Oh, I'll look into it if you'd like. But that's up to you.

Will  55:46

I think bits of strengths could be useful to us, Archie. I'm very strong. I'm also pretty strong. I think we'll hold on to it. You've given me a lot of inflammation. And I will document what happens when we take it if we take it.

Tanner  56:05

Alright. And then this other thing. This, this is some remote control device. I'm not certain exactly what it's supposed to control. But it's has some sort of long range mechanism. And well, I say long range. It's a pretty short long range, but it doesn't have to be like right up on the thing that is supposed to be controlling. Do you know what it's supposed to go to?

Bruce  56:29

No bound it broken into mode? Ah. Okay,

Tanner  56:35

well, if that's all the information that you have, is this is this also, do you want me to look into this more? Or would you like to all Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's mostly junk. There's some good parts in here to use for stuff. But it you know, just depends on eyes

Will  56:46

for sure. Oh, all right. Cool.

Tanner  56:49

And she stuffs it in her bag. Hey, Rob.

Will  56:56

Jason. Oh, hold on to that liquid, if

Bruce  57:00

you don't mind? Absolutely. I hit it too. And I put it in my bag. Okay. wrapped in cloth. So it does break. Something.

Tanner  57:09

Makes sense. I mean, it's got it does have like a metal casing around it. So it should be pretty cool. Yep. All right, you guys continue on the cave, the cave starts to open up a bit. As you move through, you're not really getting dirty. Like if you touch against the walls, you would get stuff. But it was probably a good idea to remove the jacket. I'm being extremely careful, extremely careful. And limb continues on. We've certainly made progress here, just the two of us. And we made some progress with the whole group, which I mean, if they were all here, it would probably be exponential for the amount of stuff that we've discovered. All these etchings I found, I think are from some long forgotten religion. And, you know, these people in them depicted are are just being showered in gifts from some entity. So I'm thinking that that's probably the god or, you know, at least the person that they worship, it could have been a cult, just all worshipping some rich guy, or it could have been like, a king from some previous monarchy or something here or queen. I mean, hell, we have a queen here now, so why not?

Bruce  58:22

present a question? Sure. How do you know it's only one thing if all the images are scratched out?

Tanner  58:30

I don't, that's actually a really good point. She reaches into her bag and pulls out a notebook and makes a note in there, close it back up and puts it back in your pocket.

Bruce  58:37

I told you I was a scientist.

Tanner  58:42

Anyone that does science is a scientist, anyone that hypothesis is a hypothesize or none of these things are actually equivalent to having a degree. Like they're almost as good. I think you could be right and onto something. I mean, whatever it is, it's all got to mean something. And I'll be damned if I'm not the one to figure it out.

Bruce  59:09

Cool or Salutations to you.

Will  59:13

Thanks. All right.

Tanner  59:15

As you continue on, the passage opens into a high ceiling cavern. You can see a few hand hewn columns standing about holding up the ceiling, which you can imagine where yes, they're hidden. They're carved. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So they're actually made they were probably some form of you know, stalagmites stalactites situation that they made into these sort of ornate columns. You can see you can kind of see up towards the top if you have dark vision, which neither of you do. But I'll give it to you in a bar holds up the torch. You can see these sort of etchings and figures up at the top but you can't really make out what they are because they're so high up. As you continue on. You can see more of these depictions on the walls. More of these scratched out figures that may be one or maybe multiple things. And you can see these offshoots on the walls, where these other paths kind of go into the darkness. And and Lynn describes these as well, I could just say what she says. These little side pastures, as far as I can tell, don't really go anywhere. They were a lot of cavan's in this section. And I think after, you know, that initial short of trimmer that unveiled the entrance to this cavern, a lot of these probably got closed off, it would take so much time work money to actually get down them. So this main path, and a couple of offshoots are really the only thing that we currently have. So, you know, where are we to have all the funds and stuff that we wanted, we could probably delve into some of these things. And I can't imagine the the wealth of knowledge that we can find in certain chambers, I mean, a lot of these things have to lead to somewhere, has to lead to something. But the only thing that actually is more impressive than the last chamber is the next and you walk into this massive chamber. And the walls are actually straight hewn unlike the rough cave walls in the areas that you came from. The columns here are nearly perfect in their size and symmetry, the depictions of people are still at the top. And again, you can't really make them out from here. But at the bottom, there's also intricate designs of IV wreathing, around the columns, you can see the tunnel on the other side continues on in the torchlight. But just taking in this, this particular area, it almost reminds you of the sort of Cathedral in the way that it is shaped and formed.

Will  1:01:57

So I've got to admit, I'm a bit confused as to what you need from us. Because if we find the exit, we're going to continue along our way. I imagine you need more help than that. Well,

Tanner  1:02:12

I mean, we needed someone to help carry some of this equipment. And there are things in here, you know, like, we found some cave worms and some bats and some things that are just like, kind of pains in the ass. And just having more people is better. And once we get down to another trail like I there is an offshoot that I'm there's not much rubble there. So I think we could kind of move it and get it. You know, so we can actually get back in there. And more hands. For extra. Yes, for for extra hands would be such a huge help. And for extra feet too. It's a great boon. You have no idea

Will  1:02:52

and to torsos, we discussed all this. Yes,

Tanner  1:02:57

head, shoulders, knees and toes all included. Here we go.

Will  1:03:00

By the way, I am taking very good mental notes of the path we are taking through this so that if we have to go back through a drawing it is shoot. I guess I could do a schematic on the wall just saying this way. Oh, that's what I do. I create little schematics as we go through just like little breadcrumb markers like go this way. While you

Tanner  1:03:28

when you do that Anlin turns to Archie,

Will  1:03:32

he,

Tanner  1:03:34

like here is he leaving breadcrumbs for it? Like this has been a straight path. There's only one way

Bruce  1:03:43

let him do whatever makes him happy. And whatever makes him feel safe.

Tanner  1:03:47

Who am I question someone's ideas of safety. Thank you for giving me perspective.

Bruce  1:03:54

Nice. All right, love. No problem anytime.

Will  1:03:57

It definitely makes the robotic noise every time I do this, by the way.

Tanner  1:04:02

Yeah, yeah, I'll put in the printer again. All right.

Bruce  1:04:08

Oh, yeah, sure. We'll help you clear up some rocks. That's the least we could do for you given us a pass through wound node.

Tanner  1:04:17

It is, I think, a pretty fair and equal trade. I mean, we're not feeding you. We're just getting you down here and you're helping us with some rock so honestly, I'm getting more out of this than you get. Well no, you're getting paid. I forgot that you are getting paid to so nevermind. Well, we only get

Bruce  1:04:33

we also get to kick the shit. But maybe I shouldn't say that. Actually. Nevermind. Let's continue. What now? I'm not certain.

Will  1:04:40

You know how I said we were say Yo, Archie said we were scientists earlier. Yeah, scientists have kicking ass. Oh,

Bruce  1:04:48

we're gonna go run some experiments on some members of a certain collective that most people don't like black called. Fucking A Jason

Tanner  1:04:59

might To my my dad's in the Blackboard collective

Bruce  1:05:05

well I hope he's not in the group we're looking at for

Tanner  1:05:07

now I'm just kidding he's not my dad said

Bruce  1:05:11

Jesus I'm sure love

Tanner  1:05:14

it it was an experiment runs in the family blew himself up but he he came up with a cure in that experiment

Will  1:05:23

for standard foot snake foot

Tanner  1:05:29

just let's like you know when you get like you just it's an insert in a shoe and he did that bullet

Will  1:05:34

a bullet. Do I want to do a history check on

Bruce  1:05:37

I have used before

Tanner  1:05:39

thankfully Yeah, the it was a thing discovered by Stanley Yellin that's

Will  1:05:44

good. Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. All right.

Bruce  1:05:51

Hold on, hold on, doctor, I'll carry you up a mountain.

Tanner  1:05:54

Nice. Very good. Very good. Okay. You guys ended up going into the path. I guess the cat the passage that leads at the end of this chamber. And as you leave the chamber the torch light is consumed by the darkness moving forward, not in like a weird magical way. But in like, Oh, we're going into dark spaces more enclosed kind of way. So don't be like afraid of shit. But you should be because you hear movement off in the distance. Pull that.

Bruce  1:06:28

Cut that I'm sorry. i What was it sound like?

Tanner  1:06:33

What you hear? Sounds like scraping against stone. It doesn't really sound like the movement of feet or legs. It just sounds like something sliding across stone.

Bruce  1:06:54

Doctor if you don't mind me asking here. How big were these cave worms you were talking about?

Tanner  1:07:02

Um, they're, I mean, they like four feet long. There are nothing like they're they're a little troublesome. But

Bruce  1:07:12

they're not about the bats or the giant bats.

Tanner  1:07:15

No, they're regular, irregular bats. Like regular bats that you'd have to fight off, right? Like they weren't like little cave bats. They were you know, they troublesome but they were just one pop them in a bar was able to slice through like what a bar like, in a bar holds up her hand with three fingers up? Yes, three at one time. So like nothing problematic.

Will  1:07:40

Does this thing sound larger than those things she's just described? As

Tanner  1:07:45

you think that question. Barra draws her sword.

Bruce  1:07:50

All right, then draw me back or x. I don't know why I said that. I

Will  1:07:54

guess I pull out the mace

Tanner  1:07:56

Ebara turns back to you and she'll pass the torch back. Or try to. Okay, I guess one of you guys can take it if we all grab it.

Bruce  1:08:08

I'm gonna hand it to.

Will  1:08:11

Oh, six resource. Okay, cool. Yep.

Tanner  1:08:14

So, and she she fully draws her sword and has a point for it. She starts edging back and makes a hand motion for you all to move back into the large chamber behind you.

Bruce  1:08:24

Okay, I follow or? Yeah, fine. I have torches. Okay, I'm going to light one. All right, and throw it in front of us.

Tanner  1:08:36

Okay, so as you guys are kind of edging back, you light up a torch and you toss it in front of you. And as it illuminates the cave walls and heads down into the darkness. You can see it glimmer off of slimy wet skin in the distance. And what you see that rears back in this light is this thing with this beat ma surrounded by four tentacles covered in spiny suction cups. And it lurches forward towards you. Go ahead and roll initiative. Yeah,

Will  1:09:11

bye. Bye. 11 plus zero that's 11

Bruce  1:09:18

and 20. You said 21. Actually, non-natural 21 Actually, but

Tanner  1:09:25

okay. So as this thing lurches forward you can see it illuminated by the torch. Ibarra prepares to brace actually. It Bara takes an action to grab Anlin and go around the side of the cable and get her out the way so it is basically just you facing this monster ahead of you, Archie, and you are up first.

Bruce  1:09:52

All right, I'm gonna start backing up slowly. still facing it. I'm gonna prepare an action And that enters my threat range. Now, first of all, hold on first I rage. Okay, I'm gonna use my one year usually my rages to I fear in action that have entered my throat range. Blackett. Okay and three, I begin to backup.

Tanner  1:10:20

Okay. All right. So you prepare an action.

Bruce  1:10:24

Boy six. Let's our Jason I mean, so let's Let's back out of here six oh it's got six tentacles man.

Tanner  1:10:34

It's clearly got four.

Bruce  1:10:36

It's got no six there's two more behind it.

Tanner  1:10:39

Probably I'll talk and you get in your six seconds all right. The creature the monstrosity rushes towards you. You can see its tentacles spread the barbs on it. Poised to connect and this gaping beak. You can see the saliva dripping off from it. This thing is hungry and it wants you and it it gets into your throat right?

Bruce  1:11:07

Give a slack.

Tanner  1:11:08

Give it a whack maybe

Bruce  1:11:11

19 on the dice. battleaxe, yep. 12 toe tail. Okay, down match. Nice damage. Seven plus three posted.

Tanner  1:11:21

Nice. All right. So you slice at this thing with your axe. You connect with its fleshy side and you can see this dark blood dripping out of it. This thing continues to make its way towards you. And try it took me code off. Yeah, it was a good call. It is going to try and attack with its tentacles. So they lurch towards you. And you can see the barbs as suckers 18 on the dice, so that'll be

Will  1:11:53

forming shit. Oh, great.

Tanner  1:11:58

Take nine damage from its tentacles. As it connects with its tentacles, you can see it's bigger than lurching towards you. Trying to take a bite at bite out of that fancy as it is a 19 seven damage these are slashing and piercing. Thank you so have that. Alright, this thing is all up in your business. And in its turn, which means we go on to a borrower who is maneuvering Anlin over to the side she puts her behind one column and pulls her sword out it is clear that her only priority is to protect

Bruce  1:12:45

you but Irene already assume that

Tanner  1:12:48

she will end her turn six.

Will  1:12:52

All right, so what I'm going to do is use a bonus action to cast a shield of faith on my good buddy. Archie and Rob so you get plus to a C 460 Wait wait 10 minutes. So yeah, yeah, so the whole let's do it for the rest about then I'm going to run up to this bad boy. And hit it would tow the dead because I really want to use it.

Tanner  1:13:27

What would 10 minutes be? Would that be 100 rounds of combat? Yes.

Will  1:13:30

Yes. It would if we have 100 rounds of combat. I hate you. I hate for any fight anything. Oh, that was the last fight buck. You told the told that dead there boy. All right. He has to roll a DC 13 wisdom saving throw? He does. It does. It's a smart cookie. Or it's a wise cookie. He takes nothing. Oh wait. Yeah, wisdom. Yeah. Oh, no, we're good. Yes. Plus to wisdom. Why? No, I don't know. All right, nothing happens. Okay. You,

Tanner  1:14:07

you let out your your hand was told that that Touchstone

Bruce  1:14:11

No, it is a site of belief and it makes your right.

Tanner  1:14:17

Okay. All right. You. You bring your gloved hand forward, and you attempt to snap your fingers and make this thing feel the pain but when you snap your fingers it just fizzles out with a

Will  1:14:32

nice doesn't make that noise. What was that, Rob? Well, I I'm actually not sure. Don't know what that chip was. Okay. That was awesome. Good job. Well, yes.

Tanner  1:14:45

You did it back to Archie.

Will  1:14:47

You did the dialogue. Well, you did it. Dialogue. It

Bruce  1:14:50

did it. What's the dialogue?

Will  1:14:53

Nothing. I ran within five feet of him by the way to make myself Oh, you ran up to five feet. Okay. Yeah, that's important to say I want to make myself a target. Okay?

Bruce  1:15:03

Wacky wacky is a big tentacle monster.

Tanner  1:15:05

Do it. Do it.

Will  1:15:09

Can you please do a barbarian thing to it? What do you mean? Do I get it? He's like it just wacky.

Bruce  1:15:16

Okay. Or reckless attack for advantage. No, I'm saying you don't have to. I was just saying enough fucking joke. I'm gonna record I'm wondering.

Tanner  1:15:25

Okay

Bruce  1:15:27

Does 15 hit? Yes. Cool

Tanner  1:15:32

now reckless attack means you get advantage. He does do

Will  1:15:36

against against specifically versus so my

Bruce  1:15:39

next turn PC 13 damage eight plus two for rage plus three for mushrooms. Okay,

Tanner  1:15:47

as you come down with your axe you do take a chunk of flesh out of the side of the thing eight screeches Lord lurches out at you just pissed. And as it does yell out, you can hear this sound reverberate in the cavern. And from the path where you can still see your torch faintly glowing. You can see something else lurching forward and next to this thing is a second frickin Greek

Bruce  1:16:16

Okay, am I free of this thing?

Tanner  1:16:19

Yeah, it doesn't have you grappled.

Bruce  1:16:21

Oh yeah, you're not gonna that's fine.

Tanner  1:16:23

So there are now two Greeks facing you guys the other one is kind of back a little bit in the tunnel. And it has made its way here

Bruce  1:16:30

I brought Let's kill this thing. Get the fuck out of here.

Will  1:16:32

Couldn't agree with you more?

Tanner  1:16:35

All right. The first gric gric one we'll call it is going to attempt to make a another attack with its tentacles on you. Archie at lurches forward with these BB disgusting gooey suction you already think it is? That is nine plus 413 Which I believe Mrs. Yes. All right. So it will try and get you with its tentacles. But it does not connect these things just kind of slither near you and it doesn't get any purchase to speak.

Bruce  1:17:17

You'll hear it in the American made the mac and cheese

Tanner  1:17:20

Yeah, the mac and cheese stuff because it did not hit with its tentacles it is not going to try and go at you with its beak. It is now a Baras turn and as she stands there sort of in defensive position, seeing this second grip come up, and then we'll yell up to her I'm fine. Fucking kill it and a borrower will rush forward toward towards the second gric try and include closing on that but she doesn't make it all the way towards it. So she will she will rush up and get to the edge of the opening at the tunnel and prepare to attack this second brick as you guys are engaged in the first as it tries to get in through. We will now move to six six you are now facing two of these things. One is has I mean it's got a little chunk missing from it from Archie's axe and the other one is fine. Brand new boy All right,

Will  1:18:17

I'm just go take a swing at the damaged one. Just smack smack with my Macy mace. All right, that is a nine on the dice plus 413 is 13 Hidden

Tanner  1:18:35

13 does not hit

Bruce  1:18:37

but I get to plus two because I'm enraged. Okay, just get that token out how that works.

Tanner  1:18:42

Dams drink that potion.

Will  1:18:44

Maybe I should have but it's too late. I already did my action. I have nothing else I have

Bruce  1:18:49

it so it doesn't matter. That's right. That's right. All done.

Will  1:18:53

All done. Okay, turn.

Tanner  1:18:55

Then we move on to gric number two who will slither in and seeing that the other one is engaged with Archie will go after you six tentacles are coming your way. Gooey, gooey, gooey, suctioning nasty bits

Bruce  1:19:11

of Barbarossa range is it past the rebars threat range

Tanner  1:19:17

though thank you thank you thank you for keeping me honest all right yeah bar will make an attack with it alongside yes give

Will  1:19:22

them a Balraj

Tanner  1:19:23

she will connect

Bruce  1:19:28

I'm not letting an attack other things dealing that solid damage to me that's not good.

Tanner  1:19:34

It's solid damage. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. Alright, so this second Greek will make an attack on you six. That is going to not do it nine plus four. Yeah. 17 AC All right, so it does not make a connection with its barbed tentacles. Gross they are unfurled

Will  1:19:54

oh forget vs close to AC right now, by the way.

Tanner  1:19:57

Oh that

Bruce  1:19:58

right? I will not Okay, I've got it. I was gonna ask Tanner when he said there's something here. Well, what was it? Yep. Back to the top of the order, Archie quacky sweat

Tanner  1:20:11

rolling. Which one are you attacking? Attacking? The damage one one.

Bruce  1:20:15

That is the one I've hit twice. Great. Hit it a hit. I'm gonna reckless attack and do it 15 On dice I assume hit like plus five. So

Tanner  1:20:25

yeah. 15 Straight

Bruce  1:20:31

11 damage six plus three plus two.

Tanner  1:20:34

Well, you have a battleaxe what type X you? Great, great execute. You pull your great axe back. And you baseball swing this nasty worm. Chicken beat octopus hybrid. And you cut across it right where its beak splits and cut back into it. And this thing falls to the ground like a limp noodle.

Bruce  1:21:02

It does your limp noodle.

Will  1:21:03

Nice. Yeah.

Tanner  1:21:06

Cool. So that is great one the second one. The second one will maintain its position and seemingly just too hungry to care. But now we'll move

Bruce  1:21:22

on to killed me bro.

Tanner  1:21:24

Now we'll move on to Ibarra, who will also try and take another swing at this thing. She will make another swing with her great or her long sword. Sorry. So make another swing with her long sword and this thing is able to maneuver underneath her. She did not connect with it. Six. What do

Will  1:21:45

all right, well, six is going to try to toll the dead on this guy again. Roll that. Roll that beautiful bean footage. AKA wisdom save of 1313 Do I get to roll my dice? It saves Ah

Tanner  1:22:04

yeah, on saves. They only have it's like a DC. So you have to meet it.

Will  1:22:08

How so? Yeah, you're right. But how's all artsy looking?

Bruce  1:22:13

strong and beautiful.

Tanner  1:22:16

Oh, that's much better than mine.

Will  1:22:18

Are GI bleeding too much? Okay. All right, because

Bruce  1:22:21

you know, we're all like I think it was majestic. I was regal.

Will  1:22:26

I would have been regal. Regal Archie.

Tanner  1:22:30

Regal is good from lions. What's good for wolves? Fierce feral. Yeah, well, you are in a rage so you are pretty feral right now?

Bruce  1:22:40

Yeah, I'm like foaming at the mouth. What do you look?

Tanner  1:22:42

Yeah, what do you look like when you're in a rage?

Bruce  1:22:43

It's it's like it's like the cold hatred of vengeance.

Tanner  1:22:51

Just the most obtuse sentiment got it? All right. The Greek is going to try and tentacle you 15

Bruce  1:23:03

He does not have advantage by the way because it's not same grip.

Will  1:23:07

What I thought everything

Tanner  1:23:10

15 So this thing misses with your No,

Bruce  1:23:12

no, no, I'm sorry. Yep, that is right. It is it is it is it is a target. Yeah, go for it.

Tanner  1:23:19

17 on the dice. Yeah, that'll definitely. Okay, it'll connect with its tentacles. These things wrap into your very nice shirt. You can see the barbs pierce through it. damaging the fabric. Nine damage. Slashing. Okay, its tentacles connect. So it's going to try and snap at you with its beak. Okay. 19 Yeah, that's gonna hit. Alright, not too bad. Six. Okay, so it wraps its tentacles into you. And it does tear your shirt a little bit with these barbs at the end and this beak pinches into your chest. It's unpleasant. It's not nice.

Bruce  1:24:04

Well, I'm not happy, that's for sure. I'm having the time. I'm Allah. I cannot promise you.

Tanner  1:24:13

Okay, that will ngrick number two's turn back up to arch Whack whack and

Will  1:24:23

I am not one reckless tech. Okay, so regularly. Why not? Why not?

Tanner  1:24:27

Why not? I like it when you reckless tech.

Bruce  1:24:32

Doesn't 11 Hit 11 does

Tanner  1:24:33

not hit all right, you take another swing with your great axe after your killing blow and the other one. Sweating your palms causes you to not have the best purchase on it.

Bruce  1:24:45

And you may well and also the blood Yeah, the

Tanner  1:24:47

blood the blood on your palms. Fine. Let's make it not such a, you know, bitch move the blood on your palms make it slip a little bit. Ibarra will attempt to make another attack. She will take her long sword into both hands and do it To hand swing it is. It doesn't help. Six.

Will  1:25:06

I'm going to use tin, I'm going to channel divinity using my life domain. Hey, Archie, I learned a new trick. And I snap my fingers or do whatever the robot can do for a snap. I guess the chain of purchase on the on the gloves that he has on? Yeah, for sure. So both 10 hit points to all Archibold

Tanner  1:25:29

nice. You can feel this static hair raising electricity come through us. You were

Bruce  1:25:38

so themselves together. Yeah,

Tanner  1:25:40

I know. You're close to. And then your wounds. Yeah. Well, I mean, let's let's be honest, Archie is wounded when his clothes are wounded. That sense apparently.

Will  1:25:51

Is the grapple action. An action? Is that something I do as an Asian?

Bruce  1:25:56

Yeah, grappling like, kind of sucks.

Tanner  1:26:00

Yeah, it's it kind of sucks. Basically, you can. It's you can give other people you have advantage and they have advantage on attacks. It's kind of

Will  1:26:07

I'm going to I'm going to get on the backside of this thing. Flanking if you will. Oh, I'm like, jumping around. I was like, okay, not give me an idea of you're trying to try and move around yet.

Tanner  1:26:25

And which means you don't leave. It's threat range. You're just repositioning in here. Correct. So you get you get on the backside of it. I start yelling at it. Do. We aren't really doing flanking rules because we didn't have those. Okay,

Bruce  1:26:38

yeah, that was awful. Either way. I'm

Will  1:26:39

trying to confuse the thing. Maybe give it a different target. Yeah, that's fine. Hello, over here. Check it me out. Big, big boy. Go ahead. And when he says roll Sure. Not really intimidating it you're just trying to make it come after you. 11 minus 110.

Tanner  1:27:05

Okay. That's a roll that you did. It is now its turn. And this thing will look around at the three attackers and take in sort of the location the room and everything's going on. And it will try and dart off to your left wing swag. Swag.

Will  1:27:30

Okay, let's back up a swig of it with my mace do it well, that shit 13 does not hit them. Oh, but I get advantage What do you get advantage? I don't I don't be stupid. I do the same thing. 14 Tigers, the attacker. We know it's easy. Yeah. We found it. We are the world's greatest detective.

Tanner  1:28:06

Well, I mean, a 15 hit and a 13 missed.

Bruce  1:28:10

Well, I don't remember 15 I wouldn't say that. It did Yeah. I I have done monotone monotone just dead no motion. You're not getting away from me. bruv. Nice. Roller demo. That's a lot of damage.

Tanner  1:28:28

How much? How much do

Bruce  1:28:30

a 11 plus three is 13 plus three is 15.

Tanner  1:28:33

Very nice. All right, you take another swing at this thing and catch it in the back as it moves over to the side. Aid it your axe does find some good purchase on this thing and as it moves it slices down the length of it this thing screeches out but continues on its path if Barr will also try and attack she will connect with it on this one her long sword catches the thing in the back with the two arms strike. All right, but this thing is able to make it off to the side and begins scurrying up the walls into the darkness. How far was it is going to go it's movements so it goes 30 feet diagonally?

Bruce  1:29:30

I have lent it

Tanner  1:29:33

eventually. It's still it's doing Yeah,

Bruce  1:29:36

yeah. Okay. I thought you were done when it was Oh no, no

Tanner  1:29:41

as it as it moves up because it hasn't made it an action yet. As it moves up into the darkness across the stone above you both even with the torch light. lose a bit of sight of it. You know the direction it went in and about where it is but you can It currently see it unless you try and search for Archie It is now your turn.

Bruce  1:30:06

I can't see it, I can't hit it. So

Tanner  1:30:09

I mean, you can you've got torches, you can try and see where it's at,

Bruce  1:30:14

oh, I can interact with an item and make an action. So I use my left hand to throw a torch up into the air where it was.

Tanner  1:30:20

Okay. So yeah, you're able to also you're able to do that because it's just a radius of light. So you toss the torch up there, and go ahead and give me this will be active perception.

Bruce  1:30:33

Section 18. Okay, you

Tanner  1:30:40

can barely see the tail end of this thing. You get kind of where it is. But it is still in motion as it's up there. So you can try and make attack at it, it will be a disadvantage.

Bruce  1:30:53

Yeah, 14 and seven, like, what are the odds that get half of it is not going to

Tanner  1:31:00

know you, you launch your javelin up and think it hits right where its tail was and bounces off the stone wall.

Bruce  1:31:09

I'm gonna go count off because I will not be retrieving that one.

Tanner  1:31:13

Okay. All right. Ibara will peer out into the darkness. And she will reach out and arm and thunk it Funker fist against you six. And it does make an metallic. And she'll kind of look at you and then point up to where it is. You can tell that she sees something in the darkness.

Will  1:31:41

So she points directly at it.

Tanner  1:31:43

Yeah, she's trying to give you a line of sight to it. So unless I mean, you could do the torch maneuver again. But now you have a general idea of where it was you can still like it depends on what your what your attack is whether or not you'll be doing a disadvantage.

Will  1:31:54

Alright, I'm going to use a guiding bolt. And I'm going to aim it directly at the spot that she pointed at using my robot things. I'm not aiming at it. I'm just trusting that she knows where it is. And I'm going to aim directly at that spot that she pointed to me

Tanner  1:32:10

out what is what is guiding bolt do

Will  1:32:13

So alright, so it's just a spell attack and it does 46 Radiant damage if I hit it.

Tanner  1:32:19

Okay, disadvantage.

Will  1:32:23

First one is an 11 on die so be 16 That one hits that come on higher than 1110 on dice plus five is 1515. That'll hit no hits.

Tanner  1:32:34

Roll that damage. Roll that beautiful.

Will  1:32:37

Okay, I can't say that joke.

Tanner  1:32:39

You can't you can't really say that already. That's a direct McElroy

Will  1:32:42

do 610 15 damage. Plus, wait. No, no, no pluses.

Tanner  1:32:52

Is this a single bolt or multiple bolts

Will  1:32:54

that yeah, just 46 So it's a single bolt. I think it's a single. Okay. It's like magic. Let's just do it's like it's just a single bowl. I finally hit something. I'm just excited that Okay, so one big single bowl. So

Tanner  1:33:12

everyone can see sort of this light pouring out from underneath your blacksmith leather glove as this it kind of glows outward and then through just right out of the center of this glove, it actually cinches a hole through it. This bolt of energy rushes out and directly up to where a bar appointed. You can see this blue light connect with the grid. The energy surges through its body it thrashes on the ceiling or on the wall and it starts falling on the ground this monstrous worm is just thrashing as it dies you can see how close it was to Anlin that that was probably its next target but this thing eventually stops thrashing on the ground and is still you can smell the kind of burnt flesh from this thing as you can as you

Will  1:34:19

look at it but you did it you go to gric Did it we were also copywritten well you fair enough. Okay, well I want to learn more about these creatures that we just killed I'm just going to start inspecting say I really thought I was going to be useless there.

Tanner  1:34:43

As this thing does hit the ground really close to Anlin she just staring at it.

Will  1:34:48

Fuck back.

Tanner  1:34:50

Those aren't the ones that we were fighting before. That's completely different. Yeah, I

Bruce  1:34:56

had a bit of an idea it might be

Will  1:35:00

Hopefully they come in pairs of shoes and roll

Bruce  1:35:03

up my sleeves where they're like torn. I just roll it up. So it's cuffed up to my elbows, my biceps and so there's like white scars all over Archie's forearms, and just jagged patterns. You can tell he's Intel has been some scuffles in through some shit.

Will  1:35:24

And then, judging by the size of this cavern in the size of these, I highly doubt that's the only ones

Tanner  1:35:32

I fucking, I have, I have no idea. Ibarra and I have not run into any of these. And, uh, Barbara shakes her head as she cleans off her long sword and puts it back in the sheath.

Bruce  1:35:46

Didn't make it like it was like, wow, it was dying.

Tanner  1:35:49

It may it made some noise, but most of it like it wasn't the same screech. It wasn't the same impact that the one earlier that it kind of called Okay, that's

Will  1:35:58

just judging by sheer volume of this cave system. And these there could possibly be hundreds of these. There could.

Tanner  1:36:08

And as freaking freaked out as I am. Science must continue and you guys gotta get to the other side. And that's where they were coming from. So there's only like, there's only one way we have to press forward.

Bruce  1:36:22

What are we waiting for loves? Let's get on with it. All right, the Archie just seems unfazed.

Tanner  1:36:29

The scientist and the bodyguard both nod and get ready. Who's going down the tunnel first? Me.

Will  1:36:36

Okay. I was gonna suggest maybe me. But I guess you still probably have a little bit of AC left. We'll just say it's probably

Bruce  1:36:47

it was only like 10 minute rounds. A con. Yeah, it was all like 30 seconds.

Will  1:36:52

So just in case something pops up. If you want to go first. Do it. I'll follow behind you. I'll take up the rear if he takes first Tanner.

Tanner  1:36:59

Okay. All right. So the scientist and the bodyguard are in between the two of you as you move on into this tunnel with Archie in front. And as you travel down. You do have the tour ticket back tore through. Yeah. So you guys still have that you're able to see as you move down. There are no etchings on the walls in this section. It is a bit more roughly hewn. Hanlon comments. This area, I'm pretty sure it was one of the like later additions that they put in. And I think, you know, it's it's kind of one of those things where they kept pressing forward. Now, this tunnel does come out to the other side of the wound, but up ahead, it veers off to the left. And that's the segment that we need to get into. And that's where we need a little bit of help. There can't be like there must be another tunnel that opened up that these things got through because otherwise I have not seen any sort of nesting grounds or areas for them to go like this. Like I thought there was just this main tunnel. So there must be something that has yet to that we haven't been we haven't discovered yet, which is both exciting and terrifying.

Bruce  1:38:14

There's a lot of darkness down here. So there's no telling where they came probably

Will  1:38:18

probably something bigger here too. That's pretty exciting in itself. Yep,

Tanner  1:38:29

exciting. That's the word I would use for it.

Bruce  1:38:32

very literal. Like I said.

Tanner  1:38:36

Alright, so you guys continue on in this tunnel and we're using passive perception. What is your passive perception? 656 is pepper spray perception?

Bruce  1:38:49

Do you want mine to now I

Tanner  1:38:50

know is really what? 17 years of shooting high 17 year. Okay, as you guys are moving through this,

Will  1:38:58

you

Tanner  1:39:01

you feel a bit of vibration in your feet as you're moving through this tall.

Will  1:39:08

Stop. Same can I put my hands on the ground to try to get a better feel of what's happening? Yeah, go ahead and roll.

Tanner  1:39:20

This would just be perception. You're trying to perceive things because it's not an you for the feeling.

Will  1:39:25

That is a 22 This feels like some sort of tremor. It feels like the

Tanner  1:39:40

the earth is moving very slightly. But you were told when you came in here that there was a trimmer that actually uncovered the cave mouth.

Bruce  1:39:52

Doctor? Yeah. Do you have enough feel that

Will  1:39:57

bullshitting for a pause? Abara nods I can. I can shed a little light that is a that is a Earth trimmer. We're currently experiencing an earthquake. If I had to make a suggestion, we should run. Okay. Leader Do you run?

Bruce  1:40:20

Well, most quickly, but we won't run. Some of us can't see.

Tanner  1:40:23

Okay. All right, you guys. quicken the pace as you get up. Borrow, we'll look back towards Anlin and shake her head. And Alan will say out to you to look if this really is a trimmer, then we all just need to get and before she could finish her statement. You can feel the trimmer grow. The entire cave is groaning from the earth moving and rubble begins to fall. I need both of you to roll a dexterity saving throw for added advantage. Great, because you are expected Billy wagon advantage anyway. Oh, no. Oh, yeah, I see. Because I haven't thought

Will  1:41:10

does that mean he gets double advantage? Thank God for advantage. That first one was a three double event. And the second one wasn't one. So my three is my best role. You're welcome. Do yours. Master 12. Yeah, okay. All right. The cave above

Tanner  1:41:33

you begins to collapse in and being as your positioning we have Archie in the front, then a Bara Anlin

Will  1:41:43

six. Bara

Tanner  1:41:48

realizes what's going on and sees you lose your footing six. And she lurches back grabbing Anlin in the process and trying to fling you forward towards Archie. When she does this. The walls collapse in and you just barely make it to the other side.

Will  1:42:13

With one rock catching you in the back.

Tanner  1:42:20

You take six damage from this shoe. falling rock then could have been bad. Could have been bad and Barbara had a very good role and use it to save your ass. The two of you are now cut off from Anlin and Abara. Ahead of you. You can see that there is rubble everywhere the main path has collapsed in but a path off to the side has been opened up by this tectonic activity behind you you can hear and linen Abara and Anlin will shout out. Hey, we're we're okay. Are you are you guys?

Will  1:43:04

Okay? No, we're both dead. I have died. Yes. Not a literalist.

Tanner  1:43:13

That was not literal. Everything up. I'm so glad you guys are okay. Listen, we have no choice. But to head back. Can you guys it's a straight path. Can you just push forward?

Bruce  1:43:26

You said that's that's barred the straight man then. Oh, unfortunately, Dr. It appears as if the Earth itself would prevent us from getting through wound hold. Is there

Tanner  1:43:40

I can maybe get the team back out here. But it might take a while we're not gonna be able to move this rubble on our own Is there anything is there any way forward.

Will  1:43:47

There's the side path you

Bruce  1:43:49

spoke of. If you can go down

Tanner  1:43:51

there, I think it might take you some time. But the two of you should be able to move the rubble there. It's there's something back there that could could lead you out at least into a place where maybe you could protect yourselves from more rubble or more of those things. We're going to go back and try and get help. If you make it out, send a message to either me in wound hold or to bathe and he'll get a message to me or

Bruce  1:44:22

there's we'll do that. So here's the problem. Do you go and get help. People know we came down here. People know we came down here and we're still here. Well might not make it out of won't hold. So it appears we're on our own. We make it out. We'll let you know.

Tanner  1:44:43

Okay. Yeah, she she says, Don't worry. He's got good people. And she seemed like she was running

Will  1:44:49

before she goes before she goes, Hey, before you leave. And as Archie said, no need to worry about us, but on a scale of one to 10 And how would you rate this? This interaction that we had a fucking tank buddy? improvement? I really think I'm learning. I brought definitely, by the way, call me six. My friends all call me six. You gave me a 10 Your friend. I don't think she

Bruce  1:45:24

heard that broth. Yeah,

Tanner  1:45:25

you don't hear anything from the other side.

Will  1:45:27

Oh, I like her. All right, so

Bruce  1:45:30

I thump six on the chest. So it makes like a claim

Will  1:45:34

it does the why six

Bruce  1:45:38

boldly forward on the path we go.

Will  1:45:41

Aye aye, Captain. All right, you guys

Tanner  1:45:44

move ahead. This side path winds in deeper and it is still rather dark here. Luckily, when you lurched forward, you still have the torch in your hand, Archie, and you're able to see through here, you eventually come to the wall of rubble that she had talked about. It seems like there the collapse actually loosened some of this. So as the two of you get to trying to move it out the way it's not quick work, but you do eventually get enough move to where you could continue on in the passageway.

Will  1:46:21

Okay, cool. Yeah,

Tanner  1:46:23

and I can make your own string for that because what do you do if you feel I try again. As you continue down this passageway you can start to hear music. It sounds like Oregon Music Off in the distance.

Bruce  1:46:46

Well, that's ominous.

Will  1:46:50

This doesn't seem like the place for music.

Bruce  1:46:55

Not unless you're in a rock band

Tanner  1:47:01

is very good. You to continue forward, and the Oregon music gets louder. Eventually, you can see some light casting in through this tunnel, this faint golden glow. And as you get to the edge, or the end of this tunnel, you end up in this large cavern. It's not as big as the one you were in before, but the markings and the carvings in the wall are extravagant. There's so many things people celebrating, and receiving gifts of all kinds drinking, exchanging gold and horses. But the one thing that really catches your eye is off in the distance. It is this massive organ. And the sound seems to be emanating from these click crystals that light up for every note. And at the helm of this Oregon is this person surrounded in a golden glow. This aura that just surrounds it. They turn they see the two of you at the edge of the tunnel and say

Will  1:48:28

welcome children

Tanner  1:48:30

to the Cathedral of opulence, the resting place of all your needs!
